Serving faithfully in God’s vineyard is way beyond zeal and determination. As the heavens are higher than the earth so are God’s ways and thoughts higher than men’s. This is why his expectation of true service in his church must be revealed and we must also be enabled by divine grace for acceptable service.
When we labour to make light the burden of the gospel by serving in different capacities in church, we still most times retain the fear of our service being rejected just like the way God rejected King Saul in the bible days and how he kill Uzzah in his attempt to save the ark of God from falling.
So also the enemy of our souls who was the first to taste of God’s wrath against unfaithful service, has sworn that no other creature will serve God with a true heart.
For all these reasons, we must daily commit heart, mind and body to God to raise us faithful stewards in whose service in his church, he will be well pleased.
Join me for an exciting time in prayer as we engage with the Lord so that His report of us at the end of all will be “Well done, you good and faithful servant”.
Prayer for Your Church Workers Today
1. Eternal God in the heavens, we thank you for your mercies to us as your servants is great and your love is very kind. We enter into your gates with thanksgiving and your courts with praise with abundant sacrifices of praise. Dear God, we offer the fruits of our lips to you for giving us life today. Not all who slept yesterday were able to wake up this beautiful day, it is not because of our good works but you have made your goodness abound towards us. I declare today blessed in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
2. Gracious God, on behalf of every worker in your vineyard, I thank you Lord for your saving grace that appeared to bring us into your banqueting hall as your banner over us is love. We thank you for our new birth in Christ and for keeping our feet from slipping into darkness. Thank you Lord for always standing by us to strengthen us and delivering us from the enemy by your victorious right hand. I entrench this unit more into your grace and love. We receive grace to pour ourselves out for the course of your heavenly kingdom. We are firmly established in the path of the service of the kingdom. Loving and serving your family will never be burdensome for us in Jesus name. We are decked with grace to be a good soldier of Christ, serving and laboring for the furtherance of the kingdom in the name of Jesus.
3. Jesus the competent saviour keep us holy, blameless, spotless and unrebukeable until the day of your coming. We have chosen to serve as a workers in your house, help us to work righteousness and not wickedness. We are saved, sanctified and filled with your holy spirit, I pray that you will keep us until your appearing in the name of Jesus. Build in us the fruits of the Spirit. Help us to live a life well-pleasing to you as we serve in this church, let the words of our mouth and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in your sight dear Lord. Make us an example, a pattern and model of the believer as we serve as workers in your household in the name of Jesus. Bless us with grace to actively participate in lifting your work forward through godly service in the name of Jesus.
4. Lord, I pray that you will help us to be like the wise virgins who had extra oil to keep our light burning till the very end in the name of Jesus. We do not want to forget our communion and fellowship with you all in the name of serving in your house. We receive the grace to work with you Jesus and not for you. The enemy will never be successful in cheating or deceiving us in the name of Jesus. We are taught of the Lord! Holy Spirit, please plant our feet in the enduring words of Christ. We receive sufficient grace not to break my study/fellowship time with the Lord. Help us to know that any strength we have today to serve came from the Lord and we are enabled to stay close to him.
5. The scripture says they that compare themselves with themselves are not wise; so we do not compare ourselves with others. I destroy the spirit of competition in this assembly, I declare, let the spirit of complementing one another takes us over in the name of Jesus. As we serve in your house dear Lord, give us the maturity to do our work as unto the Lord. I pray against the spirit of eye service; it will never thrive in our church in Jesus name. We will always see you right beside us and help us to know that you will never leave us. Help us Lord to know that you are our judge and not our group or unit leaders, neither is it the pastor. Help us to remain strong in my resolve to be faithful in service even when others are not doing well. Evil speaking about our church or pastor is banished. We are enabled to be an example of good works in the name of Jesus. Help us to serve as a source of encouragement to our pastors and leaders pastor in the name of Jesus.
6. I speak against every spirit of weariness and discouragement in this workforce in the name of Jesus. I pray that the joy that kept Christ and Paul the Apostle strong till the end of their joy will be ours too in Jesus name. The joy of the Lord in our hearts swallows up weariness and discouragement in the name of Jesus. We will stand and work at our posts as good soldiers of Christ and we will receive the crown of service in faithfulness in the name of Jesus. Cause the eye of our spirits to be opened to your eternal purpose. Help us to see that this church is your ordained city of refuge for us in these trying times. Turn all our trials into testimonies in the name of Jesus.
7. Dear Lord, help us know that it is a privilege to be a worker in your house. Do not allow the enemy to use us to oppress other church workers or make the life of church folks unbearable and sad. I declare that we will be a true succor, comfort and support to God’s people around here in the name of Jesus. We do not also use our service position in church to enrich our economy no matter how strong the lack and the temptation is. The love of money and the desire to serve mammon is destroyed in our lives. We receive the grace of Paul that said he will gladly spend and be spent for the work and people of God.
8. Dear God help us not to work in your vine yard for public recognition or ovation. There is always this temptation of take the glory that comes with service; but I put my trust in you that you will help me guide my heart with all diligence and always return the glory to you in the name of Jesus. Heavenly Father blessed us with meek and humble spirit not to seek man’s approval in the course of our service for your Kingdom. I know that the enemy will want to corrupt our service with pride and self-conceit; but I pray that by your mercy we will stay pure, chaste in my service in the name of Jesus. |We are made wiser than the devices and wiles of the enemy and are lifted higher than his thoughts and imaginations in the name of Jesus.
9. I decree and declare destruction to all interferences of the devil against the growth and continuous expansion of this church both physically and spiritually in the name of Jesus. Let the ministering spirits sent to minister to the heirs of salvation begin to bring souls as should be saved into this assembly in the name of our Lord Jesus. I declare massive salvation of souls through our various outreaches. I pray the Lord of the harvest to begin his eternal work in this area, this territory. Deck us with grace, wisdom and truth that we need to be true reapers in your harvest. We receive grace to fish and win men for Christ in the name of Jesus.
10. I ask, dear Father, let your purifying fire and sanctifying grace fill us and make us free from all the works of the flesh that could affect our services and make them unacceptable in your presence. Help us to keep presenting our bodies a living sacrifice in your presence. Transformation and regeneration are the rod and staff that guides and leads our journey to perfection in the name of Jesus. Lord help us to be exercised in your righteousness that we will not be found with filthy rags as our righteousness. Cause us to be cleansed from the filthiness of the flesh and spirit in the name of Jesus. I declare that our service is acceptable in your sight by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
11. I speak against any sickness or disease that the enemy intends to slow down our commitment to the work of God in the name of Jesus. We are lifted above the onslaught and attacks of the devil. We are made strong in my health. Life replaces any arrow of death in our body. Our strength is renewed like the eagles. Testimonies of victory and health fill our mouths through this season. Every arrow of sickness and disease is burnt by fire and the power of sickness is swallowed up in victory in the name of Jesus. The Lord makes an open shame of all the works of the devil in us in the name of Jesus. We receive supply of spiritual energy every day in the name of Jesus.
