Preschool Prayers for Snack Time

Talking from experience, I know how tasking but interesting it is to teach children especially those in the age range of 0 – 6 years. It requires lot of patience, use of rhymes and humour.

Yes, mealtime to children is usually filled with so much happiness in their hearts so it tells you how important food is to them. Now, teaching them how to pray properly during mealtime like snack time would be easy with the use of simple words that they can relate easily with and the use of rhymes.

Do not forget that Jesus called the little children His heritage so imagine the level of God’s happiness when he hears their prayers.

Here are some preschool prayers for snack time that you can teach your preschoolers.

1. Jesus, thank You for the snack you have given us today. Thank You for the source of money for these snacks and for the hand that prepared the food. May we always have what to eat when we want to eat them. Make the food nourishing to our bodies. The food will not harm us and we ask that your grace, mercy and peace be with us from today in Jesus’ name. Amen.

2. Father Lord, thank you for the blessing of this food. Help us to receive everything you give us with a grateful heart. Thank you for being with us as we eat and help us to enjoy your presence at all times. Thank you for the mouth you have given us to eat this snack. Our mouths will not fail us in eating in Jesus’ name.

3. O’ Lord, thank you for the provision of these snacks and the ability to enjoy it. Provide for those that don’t have to eat and also give them the ability to eat the food. Continue to provide for us and help us to always remember to thank you in Jesus’ name we have prayed. Amen.

4. Lord Jesus, we are grateful because you made meal available to us where some walk the streets on hungry stomach. Feed our souls with the bread of life. May we eat this food with hearts that are not puffed up. Thank you, Jesus.

5. Our Father who art in heaven, as we eat, may this food restore our strength and give us a new energy to continue with the day’s work. We will forever be grateful for provision. Thank You, Jesus.
