One of the most terrifying situations possible is to be caught in a crossfire in a warzone as a civilian.
As a believer, you must engage your faith to pray amidst the chaos of war. In our world today, war still ravages in a lot of places.
Although international bodies do so much to avert wars, it still happens at alarming rates.
Rendering many homeless, maimed, mentally and emotionally crippled for life, not to mention those who lose their lives.
If peradventure, you are caught in a warzone where all you can hear is bombings, shelling, shootings, shouting, and crying.
Are the sound of crying, wailing, and mourning parents the only indications that the enemy has retreated? You must still hold on to the Lord in your heart.ย Do not let go of his faithfulness.
Because this is what Satan is looking for, He wants you to say, โWhere is God? Didnโt he promise to keep us in the day of evil? These questions will only make your enemy rejoice over you.
Instead, pray all your pain, fear, and shame to God.
Tell him the way you feel.
Do not allow fear to overshadow you, No! Donโt give in to the thought that today will be your last.
You have survived so far in places where many have fallen.
Of a truth, God still needs your life. Dear reader, you are here today either as a person caught up in war or as a loved one of someone who has.
Notwithstanding who you are, the reason you are here is to seek help from the Almighty, who is the great deliverer.
He is the only one who can save in this day of turmoil.
A Cry-Out for Help During a War
Lord God Almighty, I cry out to you today in a time of trouble; war rages in my homeland.
Father, send help from heaven.
No one seems to care about our life in this war.
I donโt even know the meaning and reason for all these maiming, burning, and killings.
Deliver us, oh Lord.
I cry out for your mercy, Lord Jesus, I know help exists somewhere, and you can save me and my family from being destroyed by the evil, war-mongering people.
My entire family is trapped away from safety and supplies.
Stir the heart of someone who can help us to a safe place to come help us.
As the Bible says in Psalm 121:2, โI will lift up my eyes to the hills, from where comes my help.
My help comes from the Lord who made the heaven and the earth.โ Father, send your help from your throne above and deliver me and my family in the war in the name of Jesus.
Prayer for the Provision of Supplies During a War
Lord of creation, you are good, and your mercies endure forever and ever.
I know that even in this terrible state that my country is, you are still faithful.
I cry out for your mercy today for providing food and clean water during this war in the name of Jesus.
The bombings have really affected our water supply.
The available water is contaminated.
We have not bathed for days and are unsure when we will get good water to bathe.
For now, we need water for children who are already at risk of malnourishment.
I pray that we have what we need to get by in the mighty name of Jesus.
