Letter to the One Who Wants God Near Again

There was a time when God felt close.
Prayer felt natural.
Faith felt warm.

Now, it feels different.

You still believe, but the closeness you miss feels just out of reach.
You want God near again, but you do not know how to return to what once was.

If that is you, let me tell you something gently.

You do not need to go back.

God is not asking you to recreate an old season.
He is meeting you in this one.

Closeness with God changes because you change.
Life shapes you.
Loss softens you.
Waiting stretches you.

And God is present in all of it.

You do not have to force intimacy.
You do not have to manufacture feelings.
You do not have to pretend this season feels the same.

God is near even when connection feels quiet.
Near when faith feels simple.
Near when prayer feels different.

Sometimes closeness is not felt.
It is trusted.

If you want God near again, begin where you are.
Not where you used to be.

He has not moved away.
He has been walking with you the whole time.
