Letter to the One Who Feels Spiritually Numb

You are still here.
Still believing.
Still showing up.

But something feels muted.

Prayer feels flat.
Worship feels distant.
Scripture does not stir you the way it once did.

And you wonder what is wrong with you.

If this numbness feels familiar, let me tell you something important.

Spiritual numbness is often a response to exhaustion, not failure.

It can come after long seasons of trying.
After disappointment.
After carrying too much for too long.

Numbness does not mean God has left.
It often means your soul is tired.

God does not demand emotional intensity from you.
He does not require constant passion to remain present.

Sometimes faith is vibrant.
Other times it is quiet and steady.

There are seasons when God comforts loudly.
And seasons when He sits silently beside you.

Both are forms of closeness.

You do not need to force feeling back into your faith.
You do not need to manufacture emotion to prove devotion.

Rest is holy.
Stillness is allowed.

Let numbness be a signal, not a sentence.
A reminder to slow down.
To be gentle with yourself.

God meets you even when you feel nothing.
Especially then.
